Cosmetic Bonding: Case 209

Cosmetic Bonding: Case 209

A mother called me at home on the weekend after the elbow of her son collided with the mouth of her daughter. Unfortunately the elbow won. Both front teeth of this 13 year old girl were damaged, as can be obviously seen in the first photo. This injury happens more often that you would think. Sometimes it is kids fooling around and an accidental collision, or oral trauma sustained during sports like basketball, volleyball, etc. While the teeth look bad, they were healthy and alive. All that was required to repair them was simple cosmetic bonding. However, the result looks anything but simple. None of her friends know that she has damaged front teeth.
